| Art Posters
Art posters are quite often seen in dorm rooms. While the sprucing up of such utilitarian quarters is certainly commendable in theory, the displays created by college students are often unsuitable to the environment of the home or office. Creased and wrinkled posters held up by untold pieces of scotch tape simply don't inspire compliments outside of the college world.
One of the most important considerations when it comes to purchasing an art poster is the frame or mounting to be used with the print. An ill-suited frame (or no frame at all) can severely alter the display properties of even the most incredible pieces of art. As stunning as Dali's "The Persistence of Memory" or Monet's "Waterlilies" might be, much of the effect of such pieces will be lost without proper framing.
The piece in question will determine the character of the frame. Some pieces call out not for frames, but instead for board mounting. Whimsical pop-art pieces like Keith Haring's "Best Buddies" might not necessarily look right within the confines of a frame. Movie posters--many of which, like posters for "Cabaret" and "Casablanca," have great artistic value--are also natural candidates for board mounting.
Here at ARTinaClick.com, we offer not only thousands of prints, posters and lithographs, but also many framing options as well. We help our customers to create custom frames and mattes when our own professionally designed frames are deemed to be not specific enough to suit a particular space. We also offer board mounting with a variety of depth and thickness options.
