| Conservation Framing
Many consumers are rightly concerned about preservation and the protection of their investment. The techniques of Conservation (or Museum) Framing are used to safeguard the artwork from the acidic content of certain framing materials. The matboards and backing boards we use have a neutral PH, which means the acid content has been neutralized to protect the paper and eliminate any corrosion or discoloration. As a rule, ArtinaClick.com uses conservation standard materials on all Original and limited-edition artworks and acid-neutral materials on more affordable artwork.
Dry Mounting
As a rule, ArtinaClick.com will "dry mount" all paperbourne images of a decorative nature prior to their custom framing. We define decorative as including any work not described as Original and/or limited edition, photographs, giclees, oil, watercolor, mixed media or restrikes. This process permanently adheres a print to a rigid mounting board and effectively eliminates the possibility of any rippling or buckling over time. Aesthetically, the process in no way affects the artwork.
